3rd Sunday of September Annually
Since 1983, the borough of Lyons Station, Berks County PA has hosted an annual fiddle contest and music festival. Since its inception, it has grown steadily, missing only one year since it began. Unless weather forces a rain date, the festival is the 3rd Sunday of September every year. Opening in the morning with a gospel Bluegrass service, entertainment continues on stage all day. Fiddlers of all ages compete for cash prizes in the afternoon. Food and craft vendors abound. Jamming fills the tree lined edges of the park. Admission is a modest donation.
