Santa Cruz: H-13
Inspired by the Gibson Nick Lucas Special from the 1920s, this guitar joins the neck and body at its 13th fret.
The H designation is an acknowledgement to Paul Hostetter, who commissioned SCGC to build the prototype of the H-13 in 1978.
The H-13 has more power than expected in a small-bodied guitar.
A longer string length increases string tension and the downward pressure at the saddle - string vibration transmits better.
A deeper body increases the size of the air chamber an boosts volume and bass response.
Optimizing the bridge position requires the builder to join the neck to the body at the 13th fret.
Perfect for aggressive fingerstyle blues and vocal accompaniment.
Includes hardshell case.
