CRAZY PENNDOT IDEA FOR 222
Help us make it more sane

Please read this post and, if you agree with it, please sign the petition to help us stop the silliness: http://www.change.org/petitions/penndot-berks-county-commissioners-pa-state-house-representatives-stop-construction-of-the-maidencreek-township-roundabout

Anyone who has come to the store knows that 222 is congested in Blandon. You might also know that PennDOT has spent a LOT of time and money to study the issue and come up with solutions. One of the solutions is to widen the road (not a bad idea, but they are only planning to widen a short span, only moving the bottleneck, not eliminating it). The REALLY amazingly poorly thought-out part of the 'solution' is a roundabout proposed for the intersection just north of Route 73 and the store at Tamarack Drive. Gee willikers, Mr. Wilson, that's just silly! <...more>

2013 SUMMER OPEN MIC SEASON AT MEADOWOOD
Third Saturday of the month, 6:00 to 9:00 pm, May thru Sept
Date posted: 05/07/13

The 2013 Meadowood open mic season begins on May 18 this year. As in previous years, Meadowood will host open mics one Saturday each month, May through September.  The open mics are a venue for acoustic musicians to play just one tune or up to 15-minutes of music for a live audience.  The open mic is on the back lawn at the store.  There is no fee for performeres or audience.  The dates for the other four 2013 open mics are JUN 15, JUL 20, AUG 17, SEP 21 (if it is raining, we cancel; call becore coming if the weather is questionable).  Acoustic acts perform musical sets up to 15 minutes long with content appropriate for a family audience (you may perform only one tune if you don't have 15 minutes of music). To perform, musicians can call to register in advance or just show up (because the roster fills quickly, we recommend calling in advance).  Audience members need only bring their desire to hear great local acoustic musicians. Because the "seating" that we provide is limited, please feel free to bring lawn chairs or blankets or to sit directly on the grass. The open mics are a great community event. We'd love to have you join us. <...more>

INVENTORY ON OUR WEBSITE
Your understanding is appreciated
Date posted: 03/03/13

The inventory on our website was getting WAY out of date. We are in the process of updating it. The first step is to remove all pricing info (please call for a price if none is posted: 610-916-1285). The second step will be to delete any unavailaoble items from our listing. The third step will be to add new items that SHOULD be there. The last step will be to input correct prices wherever we removed incorrect numbers. Your understanding while we undergo this process is appreciated.
