You can also get the schedule of regular workshops, mini-concerts, evening concerts and special master classes for fiddle and hammered dulcimer (by special guest artist Ken Kolodner). As in past years, a flat-fee admission allows attendees to participate in the all-day workshops. We've added mini-concerts through the day that are also included. We have also added two two-and-a-half-hour long masterclasses with Ken Kolodner that will require a separate fee to participate in each. As in past years, the teachers will give an evening concert to wrap up the day.
The festival starts at 10 am with four concurrent sessions:
  • BEGINNING LAP DULCIMER - Judy Terwilliger
  • BEGINNING GUITAR - Tom Druckenmiller
  • SOUTHERN COAL SONGS - Bob Heyer and Norm Williams
  • FIDDLE MASTER CLASS - Ken Kolodner (pre-registration and separate fee required)

At 11 am with three new sessions begin:
  • INTERMEDIATE LAP DULCIMER - Norm Williams
  • ADVANCING GUITAR - John Ehlis
  • BEGINNING HAMMERED DULCIMER - Judy Terwilliger
  • (FIDDLE MASTER CLASS with Ken Kolodner continues)

At NOON, two new sessions begin:
  • BEGINNING BANJO - Tom Druckenmiller
  • ADVANCING FIDDLE REPERTOIRE - Ted Fenstermacher
  • (FIDDLE MASTER CLASS with Ken Kolodner continues, ending at 12:30)

At 1 PM, three new sessions begin:
  • ADVANCING HAMMERED DULCIMER - Bob Mallilieu
  • INTERMEDIATE BANJO - Brad Kolodner
  • FIDDLE FROM SCRATCH - Paula Taylor

At 2 PM, three new sessions begin:
  • BEGINNING MANDOLIN - Mike Andrews
  • SINGING WITHT THE BANJO - Bob Heyer
  • AUTOHARP - Keith Brintzenhoff

At 2:30 PM, one new session begins:
  • HAMMERED DULCIMER MASTER CLASS - Ken Kolodner (pre-registration and separate fee required)

At 3 PM, three new sessions begin:

  • BEGINNING FIDDLE - Mitch Miller
  • JIGGING - Keith Brintzenhoff

At 4 PM, three new sessions begin:
  • BASS FROM SCRATCH - Stacy Bechtel
  • ADVANCING BANJO - Bob Mallilieu

  • (HAMMERED DULCIMER MASTER CLASS with Ken Kolodner continues, ending at 5:00)

At 5 PM, one new session begins:
  • THE ONION JAM - All festival teachers

At 6 PM, the teachers' concert begins session begins:
  • EVENING TEACHERS' CONCERT - All festival teachers

The festival will also sport mini-concerts by the teachers through the day, along with an open stage for festival participants who would like to perform.
  • 11 am - SOMETHING UNIQUE AND INTERESTING FROM THE OLD TIME WORLD - The Druckenmillers & Friends
  • Noon - MURDERS, DEATH, DYING AND OTHER CHEERY STUFF - Mike & Paula with Judy Terwilliger
  • 1 pm - PENNSYLVANIA DUTCH TUNES AND TRADITIONS - Keith Brintzenhoff
  • 2 pm - WONDERFULLY QUIRKY MUSIC TRADITIONS FROM AROUND THE WORLD - John Ehlis

The open stage will be from 3:00 to 4:00 at the mini-concert stage. Tickets cost $10 for the evening concert, $25 for the daytime workshops and $30 if you want a ticket for both the workshops and concert (tickets will cost $5 more at the gate). Children 12 an under may attend everything FREE. Field jammers are welcome; we will ask a $2 fee at the gate to help cover facilities costs. THE SCHEDULE FOR WORKSHOPS IS IN THE FESTIVAL PROGRAM. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO GET A COPY ONLINE SOON.
The fee for Ken Kolodner's master classes is $30 each (2.5 hours of Ken with just 10 students in the class). Pre-registration is required because of the limited class size.
