Repair Services Available
Mike is a repair technician who trained (and continues to train) at Augusta Heritage Foundation at Elkins College in West Virginia. His primary mentors at Augusta are Bob Smakula (fretted instruments) and Chris Germain (stringed instruments). He is authorized to do warrantee repairs on Martin guitars (he regularly goes to the Martin Guitar Factory Repair Shop to work with and learn from Martin's in-house experts). As a violin maker, Mike contributes to the violin stock at Meadowood. We have a formally trained bow master who subcontracts our bow rehairing and restoration work.While our focus is on stringed instruments, Mike repairs other instruments as well, and can make referrals to expert repair technicians whose specialties will meet your needs.
