Half Moon Concerts at Clay on Main

TWO CONCERTS REMAIN IN 2022

The Autumn 2022 season opened on October 14 with the band AKS -- the is perfect first act of the reopened venue because band member Mike Petruaskus is the person who first envisioned making a musical performing venue within Clay on Main.  
 

The next concert will be on October 28. Doors will open at 7:30 and the concert will begin at 8:00 pm. There will be a brief intermission around 9:00 pm after which the concert will continue until 10:00 pm. During intermission you can enjoy complimentary refreshments while browsing the art gallery in Clay on Main and the newly reopened gift shop featuring local artists. Please park in the lot for Frieden’s United Church of Christ at 337 Main Street to save street parking for Clay on Main’s residential neighbors. Clay on Main requests a $15.00 per person donation to compensate the musicians and cover operating expenses for the facility.


MAGGIE SPIKE - October 28 - Eric & Maggie Gernerd 

The second concert of the season will be by Maggie Spike. Husband and wife, Maggie & Eric Gernerd began playing music together decades ago when they met at university. After graduation, they went separate ways, but soon reconnected, married, and became collaborative singer/songwriters who perform original vocal & guitar music that draws from a wide array of musical styles. Maggie and Eric’s son, Graham, will open the evening’s performance.

 

MIKE, PAULA & FRIENDS - November 11 -Mike Andrews, Paula Taylor, Rich Dodson, Jeff Noecker

The third and final concert of the season will be by Mike, Paula & Friends. Husband and wife, Mike Andrews and Paula Taylor have been playing music together since they met at a jam session in Baltimore. The duo performs traditional and contemporary folk and Celtic music. Once again, their friend Rich Dodson will join them in a blending of vocal harmonies and instrumental accompaniment on guitar, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, and bass. In this concert, their friend Jeff Noecker will join them on fiddle for two tunes in the first set.

Sound Men and Emcees - Vinny Rose & Barron Batchelder
Vinny will continue as an audio technician and emcee for the Half Moon Cafe. He will set up and run the PA system, announce upcoming Clay on Main Events, and introduce Half Moon Concert performers. Barron will continue as an audio technician and begin to also emcee for the Half Moon Cafe. He will set up and run the PA system, announce upcoming Clay on Main Events, and introduce Half Moon Concert performers.
