Lesson Fees
-
Lessons occur weekly, are 30 minutes long, and cost $25 per lesson (unless other arrangements are made with the teacher)
-
Students pay the teacher by cash or check at the beginning of each month.
-
When a student discontinues lessons, the teachers request at least one week’s notice. Any unused prepaid lesson fees will be refunded.

Cancellations - Lessons may be cancelled by the student, the teacher, or Meadowood Music.
If the teacher or the store cancels:
-
The prepaid lesson fee applies to a future lesson.
-
No fee is charged for the missed lesson.
-
Reasons may include weather, emergencies, special events, or schedule conflicts.
-
Notice will be provided as early as possible.
If the student cancels:
-
Teachers request at least 24 hours advance notice. Advance notice allows teachers to offer make-up opportunities to other students.
-
In the case of sudden illness or emergency, students should notify the teacher as early as possible.
Missed Lesson Policy
Each calendar year is divided into three trimesters:
-
January–April
-
May–August
-
September–December
Students may miss up to two lessons per trimester:
-
The teacher will forgive the lesson fee for those two missed lessons.
-
The fee for these missed lessons may be applied to other lessons within the same trimester.
-
More than two missed lessons per trimester. Additional missed lessons must be made up within the same month as the absence or the lesson fee is forfeited.
-
Students should contact the teacher within one week of the missed lesson to request available make-up times.

Frequent cancellations:
If a student's lesson attendance becomes inconsistent, the teacher may discuss schedule adjustments or recommend a temporary break from lessons.

Practice & Instruction Expectations;
Regular attendance and consistent practice contribute to steady musical progress. Students are encouraged to attend lessons even during weeks with limited practice to maintain continuity of instruction.

Modifications to These Policies
If a student requires a schedule or fee structure that differs from these policies, any modifications must be arranged directly with the teacher in advance.
