Open Mics
Our monthly open mic began in 1998 at the Kutztown Park Bandshell. In 2000 it moved to Meadowood's original location in Kutztown, then moved to Blandon (the store's current location) in 2005. In 2018, collaboration with Clay on Main allowed us to move it indoors
Join us at Clay on Main's Half Moon Cafe, 313 Main Street, Oley, first Monday of each month Apr-Jun & Sept-Dec, 7:00-9:00 PM.
Musicians & audience members are welcome. Each musician may perform up to 3 tunes. Acts should require little set-up time; material should be appropriate for a family audience.
The Half Moon provides seating & a PA system with a sound technician & asks each person age 12 or older to donate $5.
The money helps Clay on Main keep the lights on.
Free parking is available in the nearby church lot. The Half Moon asks that open mic participants park there, not on the street (where we would inconvenience the residential neighbors).
The open mic does not happen if...

the first Monday of the month is a Federal holiday,

the weather is very hot (CoM doesn't have adequate cooling), or
-
the Oley Valley School District closes for winter weather.
