Instrument Repair Before & After Gallery

This gallery presents a few examples of instrument repairs completed at Meadowood Music. Each group of photos shows the condition of a bowed or fretted stringed instrument when it arrived, the repair work that was completed, and the instrument’s condition after the repair. Located in Blandon PA, Meadowood Music serves musicians from surrounding counties and nearby states.

Early 20th century tenor banjo: cracked head, chippy fingerboard, failed nut, corroded hardware, lifting binding. Replaced head, reattached binding, cleaned hardware, polished frets, cut new nut and bridge, restored fingerboard, salvaged original tuners

Opened, bushed, and drilled peg holes, fit new pegs with contemporary taper.

Hydrated, glued, cleated (top right image shows internal cleats, clamped with magnets). Cracks nearly invisible.
