The Katyah Collection of Instruments: Nov 9 Open House, 2-6pm

DATE POSTED: 10/31/25

Long-time customer & friend, Katyah Gohr passed from this life in June. Beloved member of the Davis/Earnest family & Chaplain at Lehigh Valley Health Network, Katyah also had a profound musical instrument addiction. Meadowood is assisting her family to find new homes for her guitars, basses, mandolins, banjos...

We will host an open house at Meadowood from 2:00 to 6:00 pm on Sun, Nov 9 to give others with the same addiction (that would be you) the opportunity to adopt one (or more) of Katyah's instruments. Here is a list of the instruments that we have at Meadowood. You are welcome to come see them before the 9th (some have already sold). The family has other instruments that are also available, but for which we don't yet have space at Meadowood. You can see the whole collection HERE.

Stonebridge G23CR Acoustic Guitar

When Furch first started exporting guitars to North America, the guitars came into Canada, and were under the brand Stonebridge. Since then, the manufacturer has rebranded all instruments under the family name: Furch. This Stonebridge guitar is most was the company's best seller under that branding, and is very similar to the current Furch's Yellow Gc-CR , minus the CNR neck and electronics.

Weber "Alabama" Mandola 2 of 2
Image 10-31-25 at 1.25 PM.jpg

Made when Bruce Weber still owned the company. Bruce accepted a commission to build a mandala for Jeff Cook, one of the founding members of the band Alabama who, in addition to playing music, loved bass fishing... the reason there's a big old fish on the back of the mandolin. Bruce liked the custom instrument so much, he built a second - this is that instrument. It is one of two that exist.
